War Hier

Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg district was home to many jewish citizens and immigrants. Few traces remained of what was once a vibrant and diverse cultural hub of european jewish culture after it's destruction by the Nazis. To allow these traces to resurface, we developed a concept for a network of RFID-activated media stations that are triggered by a corresponding chip that is embedded in a guidebook. The information seems to appear out of nothing – elusive, out of reach, untouchable to vandalism and thus connecting to the destruction of a part of the life of the city.
